We are flexible in our use of methodologies and believe that the chosen approach should match the research questions being asked. We work with qualitative, quantitative and economic data and our team of researchers have a range of skills across these areas.

As well as working with established methodologies, we often adapt or refine these to meet the needs of clients. Our interest in methodology development means that we can also support clients to design ongoing research, evaluation or measurement frameworks.

We have experience working in academic, policy and practice environments. As a result, we are able to produce outputs in a range of styles and for different audiences. This has included evaluation guidance for frontline staff, policy briefings for campaigning organisations, reports for public sector bodies, and academic research.

Evaluability Assessment of the Recovery Approach in Mental Health

The concept of recovery has come to underpin mental health policy in many Anglophone countries. It represents a shift from services based on clinical recovery defined by symptom reduction to recovery as defined by the service user’s view of what is needed to lead a meaningful life. Just Economics was commissioned by HSE to carry out an Evaluability Assessment of the National Framework for Recovery in Mental Health in Ireland.
