Eilís has over 20 years’ experience of working in research and evaluation. Prior to founding Just Economics, Eilis worked for the New Economics Foundation in London, where she was head of the team developing the Social Return on Investment (SROI) methodology and co-authored the UK’s Cabinet Office Guide to SROI. She has also previously worked as a project manager for Pilotlight, a UK-based capacity building charity and as a researcher for Dublin City University.

At Just Economics, Eilís provides research and evaluation in areas such as theory of change development, measurement frameworks, quantitative and qualitative data collection, economic analysis and literature reviews. She has conducted fieldwork across Europe, Africa and Asia. Previous clients have included the OECD, Microsoft, Focus Ireland and Barnardos. She also specialises in the using economic methodologies to explore social and environmental issues.

Eilís is an experienced trainer and facilitator. She has taught research methods at the University of Sussex and the London School of Economics and trained numerous organisations in impact measurement and SROI. Her doctoral studies focused on national measures of progress and the relationship between GDP and societal well-being in Ireland in recent decades.
